EXECUTIVE PROFILE
SourcePM, Inc. was founded by Kim Caruthers, a seasoned professional with many years of experience designing and deploying solutions that solve business problems and allow organizations to deliver new products, services, and capabilities.
Kim has an MBA from Florida International University and a BFA degree from Florida State University. She was certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI) as a Project Management Professional (PMP) in 1997 and has practiced project management for fourteen years, serving both internal and external customers.
Kim has developed training materials and conducted training seminars on project management fundamentals and project management certification preparation for both Florida International University and for Nova Southeastern's University's H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship. External corporate training clients have included Earth Tech, Broward County (Florida), Miami-Dade County (Florida), and the Memorial Healthcare System of South Florida. Recently, she has joined IPSolutions, LLC., and is certified to deliver Leadership for Strategic Execution for the Stanford Advanced Project Management program. Client sites have included Google, Visa, IBM, and Cisco.
Employers have included Spirit Airlines, Accenture, Netifice Communications, SunTrust, Miami Dade Public Schools, and CRSS. Employer clients have included American Express, Ryder, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Florida Power and Light (FPL), Miami-Dade County, Puerto Rico's Hacienda (tax authority), and the U.S. Southern Command headquarters (through the Army Signal Activity). Kim developed the first corporate PMO for an international airline, including a methodology, a project management skills assessment tool, and a career development program.
In pursuit of continued professional development, Kim has been an active member of the PMI South Florida Chapter since 1995. Kim received the Recognition of Excellence Award in the Component Leadership category in 2006 from PMI's Global Operations Center Awards Program. She has been on the Board of Directors for much of this time, having served as President of the Chapter in 2005. She has held various other Officer roles for the Chapter including VP Communications and Director of the career program. For the Chapter, she was the founder and project manager of the first Job Fair in 2002, the founder for the new volunteer program in 2003, and a key contributor of the founding committee of the Chapter's first Professional Development Seminar in 1999.
